Phase 1 Counseling: Important Dates

At first the provisional list is prepared and then the final merit list of Phase 1 is prepared. A window was given to candidates to file claims and objections after provisional allotment on August 17.
Purpose of the period for filing objections to claims?
This window had an August 18 deadline and was not to correct mistakes on an individual’s form. It was intended to be a device to find out any defects in the selection procedure itself. The main reason to file an objection was if the candidate felt that a lower scorer with same domicile, category and cadre was allotted to a college which the candidate also preferred.
